My discovery -- the cost for pods was almost as much and didn't taste nearly as good. I tried DD pods. Tasty -- but no savings beyond gas since the cups they brew are small. It took three pods to brew the equivalent of one large DD cup. Next move was to fill the reusable filter that came with my Keurig with DD coffee. That turned out to be a major pain in the a** to clean and even worse -- it allowed "sludge" into my coffee. I didn't bother trying any other mesh filters since I figured they would come with the same issues. I parked my Keurig and went back to the DD drive through. Some time later I stumbled across these little gems. This product is FANTASTIC because it is simple to use yet completely effective. I have a Kuerig coffeemaker, and have spent a lot of money trying to save money on the k-cups. I have tried so many products claiming to replace the k-cup and make a perfect cup. Nothing worked until.............Not even sure why I succumbed to trying these, but SO happy I did!! They work perfect!!! I have used over 100 of them now and have gotten a perfect cup of coffee each time. No drips, mess or leaking! These filters eliminate the need to wash out the basket after each use thus eliminating those pesky coffe grinds from going down the drain. Simply use and toss!
